Watch Nearly 100 Calmare Patient Testimonials

December 15, 2020

By Dr. Michael Cooney, Clinical Director

This time of year, I become rather sentimental, thinking about the previous 11 months and what we accomplished. Certainly, this year has been one for the record books (and not in a good way).

Remarkably, even since the onset of Covid-19 in March, we still welcomed new patients battling treatment-resistant chronic pain, who were determined to reach outside the confines of traditional pain management options (pain medications and invasive procedures) and traveled from around the country to undergo Calmare Therapy.

Masked, treating only one patient at a time, with family and friends waiting in their cars, we fired up the MC-5A Calmare device, and went to war, fighting chronic nerve pain as a result of disease or injury.

This week, I took a look at the Calmare YouTube channel for the first time in ages.

I was shocked by how many patient success stories we have posted since we introduced this little-known painless treatment for neuropathy back in 2011.

I lost count, but we are closing in on nearly 100 first-person patient reviews; I hope you will watch a few patient review videos to learn more about how Calmare works, especially if you are considering treatment with us in 2021.

Registered Nurse Andrea was here from PA in July 2020.

If we haven’t had an opportunity to speak directly about your chronic pain battle and mutually determine if Calmare might be right for you, please feel free to reach out to us at the clinic by calling (201) 933-4440 or email us at info@calmaretherapynj.com.

We are confirming new patients into May 2021 and hope you add you to our family of patients early next year.

As always, we will make every effort to accommodate patients traveling from outside the US.

2020 has been a rough year for all of us, but there are many better days up ahead on the horizon. I can see them. Until then, take good care.

Diabetic Nerve Pain Can be Managed Using Drug-Free Treatments Like Calmare Therapy

People with diabetes often experience excruciating chronic foot pain.

August 5, 2016

An astounding 26 million Americans are living with diabetes and about one in five experience diabetic nerve pain.

This severe chronic pain condition, called diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), has been reported by patients at a rate that is actually double the estimate from healthcare providers across the country, according to a new survey conducted by the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA).

But diabetics are already reliant on medications to keep their conditions under control and do not want to add prescription pain medication to an already complex myriad of drugs they are taking to manage their disease.

More concerning, many doctors react to “I’m in pain” by writing a script for painkillers or opiates, doctors which can be prohibitively expensive, produce dangerous side effects, or become ineffective in managing the pain over time.

Pain Symptoms of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN):
  • Numbnessburning
  • Stabbing pain in the hands or feet
  • Tingling or burning
  • Extreme sensitivity to pain and temperature
  • Shooting pain
  • Loss of balance

Most troubling is the fact many sufferers don’t know to ask about drug-free ways to treat this pain with their healthcare providers. Sadly, 77% of patients says DPN interferes with their ability to complete and enjoy normal day-to-day activities.

What Causes Diabetic Neuropathy?

The cause of this pain is the result of uncontrolled sugar levels that, over time, damages the nerves, most commonly affecting the toes, feet and hands.

Successful treatment for diabetic nerve pain can be challenging, and the condition can often be drug-resistant as well.

Calmare Scrambler Therapy Can Overcome Nerve Pain

That’s where Calmare Pain Therapy Treatment can help. This drug-free, pain-free therapy is available at Rutherford Allied Medical Group in northern New Jersey, the one and only pain treatment facility that has advanced expertise in helping patients from around the world to cope with diabetes-related pain.

Living with diabetes is challenging enough—you should not have to live with debilitating pain or side effects from prescription painkillers just to get through the day.
