Emily is Pain-Free from CRPS for the First Time in Six Years

April 4, 2017

We have great admiration for patients and their families who take their chronic pain stories to the media.

Their efforts provide a personal view about the stress and frustration of dealing with chronic nerve pain while highlighting the fact that opioids and implanted devices often don’t alleviate or even lessen the pain.

You may recall, we recently shared an article about a young woman from Indiana who battled CRPS for six long years, without finding a pain solution.

Her family finally decided to seek out alternative pain treatment solutions and discovered Dr. Cooney’s success using Calmare scrambler therapy.

Emily is pain-free from CRPS for the first since she was 10-years-old

Emily just completed 10 daily scrambler therapy treatments last Friday.

We are elated to report that she left us pain-free for the first time in six long years!

Her mother shared this message on Facebook:

“I just wanted to give everyone an update on Emily and her treatment.

Emily finished 10 Calmare treatments yesterday and she is pain-free!
It is the first time in 6 years that we can say this!!

God is Good!!

For those of you wondering if she is permanently out of pain, the answer is we don’t know. Everyone with CRPS responds differently to treatment. Some people have gone into remission and others have the pain come back. For those who have the pain come back, they usually go back for booster treatment.

Here is the information for those who are interested in Calmare Scrambler Therapy.

I recommend going to see Dr. Cooney as he has a high success rate treating CRPS.

You may recall another young woman with similar circumstances, Emi Hewatt, who also shared her RSD battle with the media last year:

Based upon the posts and messages we see from Emi, she continues to do well and has resumed the normal activities of any young woman.
