Catherine is back in the kitchen after undergoing Calmare Therapy for Fibromyalgia

Catherine, a 50-something professional who works at a local university in Pennsylvania, had no success getting pain relief for her diagnosed fibromyalgia. But it certainly wasn’t for a lack of trying–

Over the years, she went to see many doctors and tried several chronic pain medications, steroids, epidurals and physical therapy.

She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2007 after sustaining a shoulder injury. Since then, Catherine’s daily pain fluctuated between at least a four and as high as 8/10 on the pain scale. Not surprisingly, the disease made daily living increasingly difficult; she was also completely exhausted from the disease, to the point it affected her ability to actively participate in life.

When Traditional Fibromyalgia Medications and Treatments Fail…

Catherine heard good things about Calmare Therapy and liked that it was a drug-free, painless treatment–without any unpleasant side effects. She had tried  all of the “traditional” fibromyalgia treatments with no success. It was time to try an alternative therapy because as she noted, “I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.”

Ten Calmare treatments later, for the first time in nine long years, she is finally enjoying significantly less pain, much more energy and  no longer “living life on the sidelines.”

We were delighted to receive her update in our Facebook timeline earlier this week:

“I took a flying leap of faith and went to NJ for the 10-day Calmare Therapy treatment. Now that Calmare Technology 2012I’m feeling so much better, I found a place of my own!!! Move-in day is soon and I am starting to believe that I may have finally taken control of my life again.

This is also the first food photo that I have posted in a very long time.

With the reduced level of pain and the increase in energy since having Calmare, I can actually enjoy cooking again. Here’s a photo of my chicken bruschetta with parmesan roasted potatoes.”
