She was diagnosed with CRPS after a nasty basketball injury to her right leg. Using crutches when she arrived from Missouri, Liz had a consistent pain level of 8 / 10.
But as many of you know, CRPS can rear its ugly head down the road, even when a pain-free level has been achieved.
When Liz’s pain level returned seven months later in 2015, she returned for a few Calmare booster treatments which put the pain into remission until this summer (2017).
She was here a few weeks ago, over two years since her last booster, since her pain had risen to a 6/10.
After four boosters, she went back to her life pain-free once again.
“We’ve been treating CRPS since 2011, so we have a track record of how patients respond months and years after their initial 10-treatment cycle is complete,” explains Calmare Clinical Director Dr. Michael Cooney.
“Those who do experience a pain recurrence, and have one or more boosters, seem to require them less frequently as time goes on, in the majority of cases.”
