cleveland-clinicWhen you are providing an “alternative therapy,” there are always additional challenges in trying to successfully relay the merits of the treatment.

Calmare Therapy is no different. While it has been cleared by the FDA, there are still naysayers.

One of the things we do is to promote the ongoing clinical trials by our country’s most esteemed research hospitals, such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins and Massey Cancer Institute.

A new Calmare patient, treating with us for CRPS pain and symptom relief, shared this article from the Cleveland Clinic, which highlights a variety of alternative treatments they recommend to help people battling RSD  / CRPS.

He explained that he first heard about Calmare from this article, published in 2014, which eventually led him to Calmare Therapy NJ USA.

The article noted:

Calmare® Pain Therapy and Experimental Therapies

Michael_Stanton-Hicks, MD:

Calmare® Pain Therapy could be effective in reducing your symptoms.  At the present time, Cleveland Clinic Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation is trialing Calmare® under experimental review. The FDA is overseeing these investigations.

As you know from many of our patient testimonials from parents and their children, we have been able to lessen the pain from CRPS for many pediatric and adult patients using Calmare Therapy.

Calmare Booster Treatments Explained
Calmare Technology 2012
The MC-5A Calmare device is FDA-cleared and earned a U.S. Patent as a unique device in 2013.

Depending on:

1) the severity of the RSD / CRPS condition;

2) length of time the patient has been diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy or complex regional pain syndrome;

subsequent Calmare booster treatments (as few as one treatment) may be necessary, if the pain level begins to rise.

From our clinical experience, over time, the frequency and number of booster treatments necessary should decrease over time for most patients.
