Betsy from New Jersey thought having back surgery would finally end her chronic back pain. After undergoing a laminectomy (an operation to remove the back of one or more vertebrae, usually to relieve pressure on nerves), her specific back pain was alleviated, but she experienced new pain running from her back down to her feet.
She was prescribed Lyrica, in increasing dosages, followed by cortisone shots. Neither reduced her unremitting pain.
Betsy’s husband grew increasingly worried, as his formerly vivacious and spirited wife was experiencing increasing pain and limited mobility.
